information Italy

In Italy there are considerable differences in climate from North to South

In the North, which is the part between the Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines , the climate is harsh : the winters are very cold and very hot summers with high humidity levels . In the Center , including approximately between Liguria and the area of Rome , the climate is temperate, and the temperature difference between summer and winter is lower than in the North : the cold period is shorter and less intense, and the summer is longer , but there is hardly the heat that affects the northern city thanks to the moderating effect of the sea that reaches almost the whole area. In the South and in the islands winter is never too hard and autumn and spring summer temperatures are similar to those of other areas of Italy.
